In order for us to connect remotely to your tv box, it must have both an internet upload speed of at least 5 Mbps and a download speed of at least 25 Mbps. Any less and we won’t be able to connect remotely. So the most important and first step is to test the upload and download speeds your tv box is getting.
This test must be done on your tv box as that is what we will be connecting to.
Go to Chrome if you have it, Browser if not, and type in http://speedtest.shaw.ca/.
If that website doesn’t work for you, google “speed test”.
For upload speed, you need at least 5 Mbps. For download speed, you need at least 25 Mbps.
If you have both minimum speeds listed above, we can book a time for a remote update. Less than the minimum, your connection is too slow for remote support.
Take a photo of your speed test results so we can confirm the speeds. Email the photo to email@example.com or text it to 780-887-8978.

Some boxes require you to go to More or Advanced to access the screen with Apps.
Go to Apps and click it.
Scroll through Downloaded apps.
The apps are usually in alphabetical order. You are looking for QuickSupport and QuickSupport Add-On. Both are necessary in order for us to access your tv box remotely.
If you have both, super! Proceed to step 3.
Don’t have both? Or only have QuickSupport and not it’s Add-On? Click here for instructions to download and install.
