Updating Information

Start Here

The first thing you need to know is what OS (operating system) your tv box is running.

On the main opening screen of your tv box (not in Kodi), look for Settings.
Some boxes may not have the words Settings, but a picture of a gear or a screwdriver.

Found Settings? Scroll over and click it. On some boxes, you may also need to click More Settings or Advanced.

Now click on About.  Look for Version, that will tell you what operating system (OS) your tv box has.

What version of Kodi your tv box is running?

Now scroll over to Apps. Click OK.

Scroll over to Kodi and click on it.

Under the word Kodi, you will see the version number.

For reference, the Kodi icon looks similar to this, the Ebox4.4 icon looks like this, and the MyGica Media Centre icon looks like this.

OS 4.4 boxes cannot run Kodi 17 using Kodi.
We are using MyGica Media Centre, a program that allows OS 4.4 boxes to run Kodi 17. We were previously using Ebox4.4 for this, however, Ebox4.4 is now outdated.
